What is hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid is a substance that occurs naturally in our body. It is located in the skin and joints, giving them elasticity and hydration. As it is part of our body, it is a safe material and does not cause allergies.

What happens if I don't like the result of lip augmentation?

If, after lip augmentation, you do not obtain the desired result, there is an option that reverses the effect of hyaluronic acid: the application of the hyaluronidase enzyme. The doctor should evaluate the case and agree with you if it is the best alternative.

How long do the effects of fillers last?

Once the treatment is performed, the effects of the filler are visible almost from the first moment, although it will be necessary to wait two weeks to verify the quality of the result.

During the first two weeks, it is possible to experience slight inflammation in the filling areas. After this time, and with respect to the time that the effects of lip filling with hyaluronic acid last, this aesthetic treatment has an approximate average duration that ranges from 6 months to a year. This variation depends on factors such as age, skin quality, or lifestyle.

After this time, the body absorbs the sodium hyaluronate gel and its effects disappear. At this point, it will be necessary to undergo the treatment again, but far from being a nuisance, it has been proven that repeating the treatment presents more lasting results than the first intervention.
