What are Dental Prostheses?

Dental prostheses are elements that are used to replace missing teeth or part of their structure.

Some of the treatments used in this process are crowns on teeth or implants, inlays, dental bridges, fixed prostheses, and removable prostheses.

Who is it for?

For all patients who want to replace missing teeth or protect weakened teeth with little remaining structure.

Although it may seem like a painful procedure, we have performed this type of treatment many times and our patients are usually very surprised not to notice anything during the surgery and to have a very quick recovery with hardly any discomfort.

What is better, a fixed or a removable prosthesis?

Clearly a fixed prosthesis, that is, connected to dental implants. Dental implants prevent bone loss, which is not achieved with removable or “clip-on” prostheses. In addition, the latter are uncomfortable for the patient when speaking, eating or even smiling.

Are dental crowns fixed? What about inlays?

Yes, both are fixed restorations since they are cemented to the tooth and protect it. They are made of a material that gives them greater resistance and that imitates the color of neighboring teeth.

Can I see the final result before starting treatment?

Yes, at Abaden clinics we have a very advanced computer program for dental simulations that allows us to show you a presentation of how your smile will look before starting the prosthetic treatment.

The treatment is cordial, the facilities are clean and modern (as is the equipment used) and the professionals focus a lot on the patient and their comfort. In my particular case, I had to have a cleaning and a root canal, both procedures have been painless and the results excellent.
